
In April 2016 The New York Times published an article about an octopus named Inky who escaped from the National Aquarium of New Zealand & made its way through a drain pipe & out into the sea This book is a fictionalised account of this true story Inky the octopus is tired of living life out in the sea & decides to retire to the aquarium where he can enjoy a quiet & safe life He & his tankmate Blotchy pass the time playing card games & making faces at the aquarium visitors Inky loves regaling his friend with stories of his past escapes
