. The Dray Tek Vigor AP-910c is a wireless access point which can be operated in standalone or centrally managed/monitored mode (with the use of a central Dray Tek management product
- see later). The AP-910c is a high

Specification professional access point providing reliable & flexible coverage to all manner of applications. A vast array of security & management features helps the AP-910c improve & protect flexibility & integrity of your wireless LAN. The Vigor AP-910c is ideal for adding wireless connectivity to an existing LAN or for expanding the range of an existing wireless LAN by using the WDS repeater features. The ceiling format of the unit means that it can provide unobstructed coverage to the area around it & aesthetically blends into any home or office environment thanks to its shape size & hidden cable entry. The AP-910c can also be wall mounted. For both options a circular mounting plate (included with the unit) is fitted & then the AP-910c is attached. The AP-910c can be used together with our other access points (AP-710 AP-810 & AP-910c). Simultaneous Dual-Band Operation and; Extended 5 Ghz Bands The Vigor AP-910c supports simultaneous operation of the common 2.4 Ghz band & the new 5 Ghz b&. The 5 Ghz band is far less congested so if your PCs or other devices support the 5 Ghz band you can use that. The Vigor AP-910c operates both bands at the same time so your devices can use either band & each has its own bandwidth so overall wireless capacity is also increased. The 5 Ghz supports the full range of extended domestic 5 Ghz channels due to its support for DFS/TPC. You can select all 5 Ghz channels up to channel 140 as opposed to just the 4 ' Band A-Lower' channels (which provides only two non-overlapping channels @ 80 Mhz channel width). Mounting and; Coverage The AP-910c is designed to be installed on ceilings in order to serve the area below it. The cables (Ethernet or Power) can reach the AP-910c from the rear or the side. For solid ceiling fixing a backplate is supplied. The backplate fixes to the ceiling & the AP-910c then clips in. Alternatively T-Bar mounts enable quick & easy attachments to suspended ceilings (see photo below). The AP-910c can also be wall-mounted
- keyhole slots on the back allowing any orientation. Beeping Access Point Locating all of your access points optimally helps ensure you have everywhere covered. Once the units are installed to help you identifying each access points you can switch on a beeper inside each unit. The unit will then beep so that you can locate it easily. Central Wireless Management The AP-910c can operate in standalone autonomous mode or can form part of a centrally managed wireless installation by adding a compatible Dray Tek wireless controller (a Vigor 2860 or 2925 router). This enables you to centrally control manage & administer multiple AP-910c devices installed around your building/campus. Management also enables efficient usage of your wireless access point through load-balancing whereby wireless clients are distributed across several access points to reduce congestion. Wireless Security and; VLANs The AP-910c features multiple levels of wireless security. Encryption using WEP WPA WPA2 (802.11i) is available you can also use the access control list (ACL) to specify the hardware addresses of clients which are permitted to connect (by MAC hardware address). Any unauthorised hardware is refused access. For additional user authentication you can activate 802.1x RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-in User Service) which means that you can centrally manage & store user names & passwords either within the AP-910c setup itself (thus not needing any external server) on an external radius server which can permit time limited temporary or continuous access to your clients as required. The Vigor AP-910c supports the 802.1q VLAN protocol so that if it

. The Dray Tek Vigor 130 is an ADSL & VDSL modem with an Ethernet connection; it is not a router but a true ADSL/VDSL Ethernet Modem (bridge). The Vigor 130 provides compatibility with all current UK VDSL/ADSL technologies; it has been extensively tested & tuned to provide a robust & reliable DSL connection. By providing a PPPo E bridge the connected device (firewall router or PC) can log into the Internet (your ISP) directly & have full control over the Internet connection
- that makes the Vigor 130 a unique product. You can connect any device to the Vigor 130 which has a PPPo E client facility which

Includes::
PCs most Ethernet-WAN routers & the Apple Airport/ Time Capsule™ products. Other Ethernet 'modems' may use workarounds to get a public IP address 'through' to your secondary device/client requiring non-standard operation & complicated dual-stage setup (modem logs in router routes) but the Vigor 130 provides the secondary device with a real routed IP connection & the ability to fully manage the connection making setup easy. In most cases the Vigor 130 needs no setup or configuration
- just plug it in & set up your PC or router. All login/ISP details are entered on the connected client device not the Vigor 130. The actual connection to your ISP is still PPPo A or PPPo E (depending on your ISP & line type). This transparent bridging method also differs from using a normal ADSL/VDSL router which logs in itself & then uses NAT or multiple public IP addresses to create an onward client connection for your secondary device; that is not IP Address thrifty & can introduce secondary NAT compromises or interference with various protocols/traffic. With the Vigor 130 bridge/modem you get a true single public IP address (or multiple if you have them) straight through to your firewall/router..

The Ideal DSL Firewall/Router The Vigor 2760 is a DSL router ideal for your small office or home business/office. It provides connectivity to your PCs or other Internet-connected devices (laptops tablets games consoles smartphones) via its built-in Gigabit Ethernet ports or using Wireless LAN (on 'n' models). The firewall helps protect your network from external threats as well as the Vigor2760's built-in content filtering which gives you control over what and when your local users can access or download. The Vigor 2760 series can alternatively connect to an Ethernet Internet connection such as that from a cable modem (e.g. Virgin Media) instead of connecting to a ADSL/VDSL line. Compatible 3G/4G (LTE) modems can also optionally be added to the USB port to provide backup or main Internet
connectivity without any fixed line.For Wireless LAN usage the Vigor2760n version supports multiple security methods including strong encryption but also hardware-specific authorisation and selectable client isolation (from each other). also available is the vigor 2760Vn which additionally provide two VoIP phone ports giving you the equivalent of two extra voice phone lines to make and receive calls either to other compatible VoIP users or to/from regular phones/mobiles via a VoIP gateway (such as DrayTEL). VDSL and ADSL compatible If you have ADSL today it will work with that but if/when VDSL (FTTC) comes to your area later you're ready already. (depending on local service).Most of us are still mostly using IPv4 as our Internet protocol (the system that gives us IP addresses like 194.158.12.42) but that's going to change. Over the next few years IPv6 will increase in usage and eventually we'll all be using IPv6 so the Vigor2760 already supports it - IPv4 and IPv6 can be run simultaneously (dual-stack) on the Vigor2760. Cable Modem and Ethernet WAN Compatible - New As well as being able to connect to ADSL/VDSL lines directly though the RJ11 socket on the rear the Vigor 2760 can now instead connect to Ethernet-fed Internet connections such as that provided by cable modems (e.g. VirginMedia). When Ethernet WAN is enabled LAN Port 4 switches to become your WAN port into which you can connect to your cable modem or other Ethernet

The photo on the right shows the Vigor 2760 connected to a cable modem using the Ethernet WAN Port. This feature is available on Vigor 2760 units shipped after June 2014 (firmware 3.x.x or later required).
