- until now. The br&-new Tarmac SL7 is truly the one bike to rule them all. With the SL7 Specialized aimed to create the fastest lightweight race bike available, & they have delivered. Using their Free Foil library Specialized have built a frameset that perfectly blends aerodynamic tube shapes with the staple race bike features of low weight & sharp handling. The result, a lightweight race bike that is a whole 45 seconds faster over 40km than the Tarmac SL6. The goal was to merge the best traits of their flagship Tarmac race bike with the aero prowess of the Venge. Two of the best bikes available combined into one, ensuring Specialized athletes no longer needed to compromise on race day. This S-Works frameset uses Specialized’s top tier FACT 12r carbon, bringing with it a frame weight of just 800g. Using a Rider-First Engineered™ frameset allows the SL7 to be perfectly balanced in stiffness & weight across all sizes, ensuring all riders receive the same ride quality. Specialized have built on all they learned from the Tarmac & Venge models, as well as input from some of the world’s greatest riders. This frameset comes complete with an all-new Tarmac specific stem. Featuring an integrated computer mount & tipping the scales at 45g less than the model used on the Venge, this improves leading-edge aerodynamics & gives an aesthetic to match the frames high performance.
