A tapered headtube combined with Fox 32 fork provides excellent front tracking while bridgeless seatstays keep the rear wheel free from mud. To tackle this problem the Scott Scale 940 2014 Hardtail Mountain Bike has been fitted with a Shimano XT & SLX drivetrain to provide flawless shifting while the SLX brakes provide controlled stops. To complete the high performance build of the Scott Scale 940 2014 Hardtail Mountain Bike a selection of performance in house Syncros components have been specifically developed to offer the ideal blend of performance, weight & value to help create the ultimate racing machine. Tapered Headtube The Scale features a tapered head tube for increased stiffness, safety, confidence, & control. 29 Wheels enhanced roll-over is the most noticeable attribute when it comes to 29 wheels. The big wheels are great for rolling over nasty roots & rocky sections, essentially making it easier to ride these conditions. enhanced traction is also a key factor with the increased wheel diameter compared to 26 wheels as tire contact to the ground is larger.
