Constructed with Giants lifetime warranty ALUXX SL-Grade Aluminium, the Dirt-E Plus 2 is as stiff as they come. The motor & battery have been neatly integrated into the frame, creating a seamless look, youd hardly notice the Dirt-E was an electric bike! The motor itself provides 250W of power & 80 Nm of torque, with 3 power modes that range from 80% assistance to 300%, giving you the perfect balance of range & power to conquer the steepest of terrain. For 2018 Giant have beefed the battery up to a 500 Wh version to give you the maximum range possible. The Giant motor offers a smooth & powerful riding experience with a natural feel. Giants own display means that you can easily change between the different assistance levels of the motor, as well as keeping you informed of speed, distance travelled & remaining range available. An SR Suntour XCR 32 fork provides 120mm of travel, perfect for cross-country or trail riding, smoothing out the harshest of terrain. The fork also offers a remote lockout, working with the motor to make those climbs even easier. The 2x 9 Shimano Deore Gearset provides a wide range of gears to get the most out of the motor. The Shimano Deore range is renowned for its quality at a pocket-friendly price point, offering confident & precise shifting that Shimanos components are renowned for. Powerful Shimano M315 hydraulic disc brakes give this bike maximum control, allowing you to stop as quickly as the Dirt-E accelerates, 180mm discs are used front & rear. Giant have optimised their e XC 2 rims for electric bikes by strengthening critical areas. The rims have been fitted with Maxxis Ardent 27.5x 2.4 tyres to give the bike the perfect balance of speed & grip.
