The Cube Kathmandu model was our single best selling model of 2020, with the German quality of Cube & Bosch shining through at an affordable price-tag. For 2021, the key points of the bike stay the same. The frame continues on with no geometry changes, however we do see the bike coming with an adjustable stem this year
- something which we found ourselves retrofitting to many customers bikes. The adjustable stem allows for a more comfortable ride if you need it, or changing the bike into a bit of a faster commuter if you want to go down that route. A suspension seatpost is now also included as standard. The Bosch Performance line CX still makes an appearance, but this time it comes with the whopping 85nm torque software as standard. The battery is neatly integrated within the bikes frame, which is easilly removed from the battery swinging out of the bottom of the frame once you unlock the Abus keylock. You get 500wh on the One version of the Kathmandu. You can find out how far this can get you on one charge here by using Boschs Range Calculator. The internal battery allows space for something which is lacking on many bikes of this style
- water bottle mounts. Thats not the only feature which makes the bike functional, as standard you get a whole host of goodies including integrated lights which run off the main bikes battery, a kickst&, mudguards & a pannier rack
- perfect for long days out or getting to work. The Sun Tour suspension fork combined with Schwalbe Big Ben tyres smooths out even the roughest of roads. Powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes provide superb stopping power & perfect modulation even in the wet, while 9 speed Shimano gears work seamlessly with the Bosch drive system to make every ride that little bit easier.
