Fiona Goble is well qualified to write this book as she set herself the task of producing a little embroidery for every day of the year for her blog stitchaday. The book is divided into activities: eating, sleeping, working, relaxing, playing, dressing, bathing & celebrating & there are four or five items & motifs within each section. The embroideries are shown on items made from plain cotton (calico type), felt & wool (think old cream blanket type of wool). While all the motifs are shown on pale or very pale pastel backgrounds, colour is introduced in the form of colourful fabric borders, trimmings, etc. For each motif, there is also a tutorial on creating your own knitting patterns. About the Author Fiona Goble set up a small textile business making woollen bags, cushions & throws. She regularly contributes to a number of craft magazines & partworks & is the author of two bestsellers, Fleecie Pets & Fleecie Dolls, also published by New Holl&.
