Totally Stripped DVD CD Set features the full length documentary with a 20 page booklet, & 14 track live CD album. Totally Stripped is a newly revised version of the documentary that was originally made to coincide with the release of The Rolling Stones Stripped album released in November 1995. It tells the story of the two studio sessions & three live shows that made up the Stripped project. This followed the conclusion of the mammoth Voodoo Lounge tour & found The Stones reimagining tracks from their back catalogue in pared back versions alongside a couple of carefully chosen covers in the studio & doing smaller scale club gigs to showcase these versions, which was a marked contrast to the huge arenas & stadiums that had hosted the Voodoo Lounge tour. The rockers Love Is Strong featuring Jagger on harmonica You Got Me Rocking & I Go Wild all performed strongly in the UK Top 40, while Out Of Tears continued the groups fine tradition of late-night, soul-searching, soul-infused ballads & featured a killer vocal performance by Jagger. The singer also excelled on the equally contemplative Blinded By Rainbows, a forgotten gem in their repertoire, & the swaggering Sparks Will Fly, driven by the ever-excellent Charlie Watts on drums.
