At around 1200g for the frame weight (depending on size), youre saving 500g over a typical aluminium frame, & this, combined with a press fit bottom bracket & 12mm rear axle results in a very light & efficient ride. The HTC100 is born to go fast. Weve designed the HTC100 around 29 wheels. Its well known that these larger wheels roll over roots, rocks & steps well. They maintain momentum & provide increased traction in the dirt. 29ers are quicker on tarmac too & with a lower profile treaded tyre can cover high mileage on smoother surfaces. We feel they work really well on a performance hardtail & add to the mile eating nature of this bike. Equipped with an air sprung Rock Shox fork, this gives great control & compliments the bikes intentions very well. A tapered steerer, 15mm axle & 100mm of travel keep the bike on track. A lock-out dial firms the ride for tarmac stretches. The
