They maintain momentum & provide increased traction in the dirt. 29ers are quicker on tarmac too & with a lower profile treaded tyre can cover high mileage on smoother surfaces. We feel they work really well on a performance hardtail & add to the mile eating nature of this bike. Equipped with an air sprung Rock Shox fork, this gives great control & compliments the bikes intentions very well. A tapered steerer, 15mm axle & 100mm of travel keep the bike on track.
