The CX5 is perfect for riding on any surface, including road commuting, but it really comes into its own on rides incorporating road, off-road tracks, trails, bridleways or lanes. Its a road & cross country adventure bike that will take you wherever you want to ride. The more relaxed geometry of this cyclocross bike, which makes it capable of absorbing off-road terrain, also makes it a comfort orientated, all-round bike suitable for general riding or perhaps towpath commuting. Its a lightweight, versatile bike to add variety to your riding. Disc brakes have taken over in cyclocross & weve designed this frame with the very latest flat mount fitment. Discs give reliable & predictable braking whatever the weather conditions, allowing for safe & sure stopping
- or perhaps late braking to get into that corner first! The CX5 makes use of thru-axles which help produce a stiffer feel & that added stiffness from this set-up means that you can feel more in control when using lower pressures in your tyres. Being British designed, the CX5 has got generous mud clearance & will take tyres up to 35mm wide. This is a bike capable of handling the harsh, winter conditions in the cyclocross heartland of northern Europe as well as longer, off-road gravel events. For commuting duties, the frame has mudguard attachment points.
