Ribble Chain Cleaner Durable, easy-to-use with Degreaser to get your chain clean quickly This is one of those essential pieces of kit for any cyclist. To keep your chain in top condition clean & running smoothly & efficiently this convenient & easy-to-use Ribble chain cleaner kit consists of a durable plastic cleaning cage & a 75 ml bottle of Citrus Degreaser. Inside the ultra-tough plastic casing are chain driven cleaning brushes which exert a four-sided cleaning action. Ribble Chain Wear Tool R-CWT The chain on your bike slowly wears out as you build up the miles by getting stretched longer & longer. A chain wear tool is a quick & handy device that will tell you when your chain needs replacing. If left for too long a stretched chain will begin to wear out your chainrings & could result in poor performance from gear changes & even be potentially dangerous if the chain 'slips'. A worn chain can skip over the top of the cogs to cause 'skipping' or 'slipping' gears. The Ribble R-CWT is designed to give you an instant & accurate guide to indicate how much your chain has worn. Simply by seeing if the tool drops into your chain or not (no pressure is required so don't push it in further than it drops), you can tell if the chain (0.75 on the tool), or both the chain & cassette needs replacing (1.0 on the tool). This is a small toolbox esential that could save you money in the long term. Keep replacing your chain regularly & it should work with your existing cassette, but leave it too long & the stretched chain will have caused excessive wear to the cassette & both chain & cassette will need replacing.
