- VEX 276-4852, The VEX V5 Distance Sensor (276-4852) measures distance to an object, the approximate object size & approach speed. The distance measurement range is 20mm to 2, 000mm. Below 200mm the accuracy is Approx. +/&8208;15mm, above 200mm the accuracy is Approx. 5%. The approximate object size is reported as small, medium or large, & is useful for determining if the target is a wall or a game object. Approach speed measures the approach speed between the sensor & the object. The VEX V5 Distance Sensor uses a classroom safe Class 1 Laser, similar to those used on modern mobile phones.
