Tiny Lily Arduino Compatible Wearable Electronics Collection
- Tiny Circuits ASL2001, The Tiny Circuits Tiny Lily wearable motor driver board uses the world's smallest DC motor driver chip on a board that is only 1.41mm (0.056 inches) high. Based around the TI DRV8837 H-bridge motor driver IC this board is incredibly tiny at only 10mm in diameter, yet can drive a 5V 1.8A motor! The DRV8837 is easy to use & interface to your favorite processor board such as a Tiny Duino, Tiny Lily or a standard Arduino. It uses PWM from the Arduino analog Write () function to control motor speed, direction, coasting & braking. The board
Includes:: suppression (bypass) capacitors to reduce noise & all the signals of the DRV8837 are brought out to sewtabs. Heatsinking the chip to a large plane on the bottom side of the board helps with heat dissipation. The TI DRV8837 has one H-bridge driver consisting of N-channel power MOSFETs to drive a DC motor, one winding of a stepper motor or other devices such as solenoids. There are internal shutdown functions for overcurrent, short-circuit & over temperature protection & it also has undervoltage lockout. It operates on a motor power supply voltage from 1.8 to 11V DC, & a device power-supply voltage of 1.8 to 7V DC. There is also a extremely low power sleep mode which only uses 120n A. The chip can generate a lot of heat with higher currents & voltages so be sure that the heatsinking is adequate for your project.
