Arduino Sound, Buzzer and MP3 Shields - Sparkfun Spark12660, This MP3 shield provides an interface between an Arduino project and an onboard VS1053D MP3 audio decoder IC, providing the ability to decode audio files. The VS1053D can also decode Ogg Vorbis/MP3/AAC/WMA/MIDI audio files. Files that can be encoded include IMA ADPCM and user-loadable Ogg Vorbis. The audio IC receives its input bitstream via SPI and, after the stram has been decoded by the IC, the audio is sent out to both a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack as well as a 2-pin, 0.1in pitch header.
