The output voltage & current are displayed simultaneously on the front panel. There is an analog interface (either 0 to 10V or 0 to 5V) & the units have a plug-n-play slot which can be retrofitted at any time by the user to provide additional functionality (RS232, IEEE, USB (Universal Serial Bus), CAN, LAN, PROFIBUS). A pre-set feature allows the user to store output voltage, output current, over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage limit (UVL) & power settings which can be retrieved with the touch of a button. The devices have a remote sensor to compensate for lead resistance to the load up to 2V. Models from 1k W have autoranging (high voltage or high current output) at a constant power output.
