- Siemens 3RW3017-1BB14, The Siemens 3RW3017-1BB14 is a Sirius Soft Starter from the 3RW30 Range. This starter is used to start three-phase induction motors with reduced torque & reduced starting current. The starter has been developed to enable the soft run-up & slow-down of DC motors. It helps the mechanical power transmitting elements of the machine at the start by reducing the starting torque & efficiently protects the network from dangerous spikes through reduced power consumption. Through the continued increase of the motor voltage, the network, the motor & load are optimally protected against voltage overload. The 3RW30 Soft Starter is small, inexpensive & can be easily combined with the SIRIUS contactors, power switches & overload relays. Application areas include, fans, pumps, building/construction machines, escalators, transport systems, air conditioning systems, ventilators, assembly lines, compressors & coolers & operating mechanisms.
