- Megger 1001-945, The Megger MIT1025 DC insulation tester offers preconfigured diagnostic tests including Insulation Resistance (IR), Polarization Index (PI), Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), Dielectric Discharge (DD), Step Voltage (SV) & ramp test. Ease & speed of use are key points of this instrument. It runs from from rapid charge batteries; a 30min charge will give >60mins run time. Alternatively it will run from a mains supply. It has a large, clear LCD with digital readings & a simulated analog pointer making it easier to observe a circuit's dynamic behaviour. It has enough onboard memory to log data every 5s for 5.5h (with timestamps) & the ability to stream live data or download data to a PC/ laptop via isolated USB (Universal Serial Bus). The MIT1025 is designed in accordance with IEEE43:2000 & is ideal for measuring the insulation resistance of armature & field windings in rotating machines rated 1hp (750W) or greater. The standard applies to synchronous, induction & dc machines as well as synchronous condensers. Supplied with a power lead, USB (Universal Serial Bus) cable, Power DB Lite software, product information CD & 3 x 3m leadset with large insulated clips. As lower cost alternatives, the MIT525 (55-5546) with the same test modes & memory but with a lower insulation test voltage or the MIT515 (55-5545) has less test modes & no memory or PC interface.
