- Mega Electronics DM9018, Designed & manufactured in the UK, the Mega Electronics 457mm (18in.) PCB shear has the ability to accurately cut PCB laminates & plastics up to 2mm thick & aluminium up to 1.5mm, along the whole cutting length. An important feature of this shear is safety. Free access to the cutting area is prevented by heavy Perspex shielding extending along both sides of the blade. These guards are split allowing easy alignment of materials. A safety latch is fitted to the pivot to prevent operation without it first being released.A 305mm (12in.) wide cutting bed is fitted, although wider material can also be cut. For positional accuracy the bed is fitted with a metric & imperial scale to aid accurate cutting. The shear is both powerful & rigid.
