- GW Instek GCP-1030, Because current measurement requires the insertion of a shunt or a CT, the task often becomes difficult due to breaks in the electrical path. The GW Instek Current Probe GCP-1030 only needs to be connected directly into the BNC input on waveform observation equipment such as an oscilloscope or a recorder. Then simply clamp onto the GW Instek Current Probe conductor to be measured to easily observe current waveforms under a wide bandwidth & high sensitivity conditions.A built-in DEMAG (demagnetize) function allows the removal of any residual magnetism that has built up in the magnetic core due to power on/off switching or excessive input current. In addition, voltage offset or temperature drift on the probe can be easily corrected by using the zero adjustment control. GW Instek GCP-1030
