- Gossen Metrawatt SYSKON P1500, The Gossen Metrawatt SYSKON series are manual & remote controllable DC power supplies for laboratory & system use. By careful design of the switched-mode controller the devices are compact & lightweight despite their high output power. Active power factor control assures nearly sinusoidal mains input current & the control loops are designed for short response times. The floating output is classified as a safety extra-low voltage circuit (SELV) in accordance with VDE / IEC due to its safety separation from the mains input as well as from the computer interfaces. An automatically activated dynamic sink can be enabled to quickly discharge the output capacitors. For integration into computer controlled systems there is one USB (Universal Serial Bus) port & one RS 232 interface. The PSUs are equipped with a control panel & display as well as an analog interface. Two 5-digit LED displays show measured values & settings. Other LEDs indicate the operating mode, selected parameters & the status of device & interface functions. Analog (0 to 10V) control interfaces makes it possible to adjust output voltage & current with the help of external control voltages. Monitor outputs echo the voltage & current outputs for further processing or additional displays. These control inputs & monitor outputs can also be used to couple several devices for master-slave operation in a parallel or series connection. Two floating trigger inputs are available for controlling certain device functions such as switching the output on & off, or to control sequences. Internal memory can store up to 1700 sequence steps.
