easyRadio USB Connect-2-Pi Dongles + eRA Modules - LPRS ERA-CONNECT2-PIK1-433, easyRadio has been introduced to provide an innovative and effective solution for short range devices. easyRadio was the original 'smart' radio and is suitable for a wide range of applications acrross development, education and hobbyist, where there is a demand for robust and reliable communication. These systems comprise an easyRadio Connect-2-Pi USB dongle and an eRA (easyRadio Advanced) transceiver module tp produce a system that provides a comprehensive wireless communication bridge between the Raspberry Pi system and a host computer. Connect-2-Pi USB Dongles This Connect-2-Pi dongle is designed to provide a wireless link between a Raspberry Pi and a USB enable computer (PC, laptop, etc.). The device
utilises easyRadio technology that operates in the 434MHz ISM (Inustrial Scientific and Medical) band. The dongle provides a considerably greater range, using less power than similar WiFi or Bluetooth devices operating in the overcrowded 2.4GHz bands. It is also possible to optionally configure parameters such as frequency, bandwidth, power output and data rate so that multiple devices may be used at the same time with no interference between them or other RF devices. eRA Transceiver Modules These transceiver modules carry on and exten the concept of simplicity in a short range device radio system by incorporating innovative features, including the ability to change bandwidth of the radio from 150kHz down to 12.5kHz thus enabling narrow-band performance with no additional cost.
Additional new features include: a new digital RSSI, temporary channel/power level selection, free Flash firmware upgrades, back-compatibility with easyRadio 02 series modules, temperature compensation plus crystal controlled synthesiser for ±1kHz frequency accuracy, temperature usable by host.
