This version of the board has an on-board aerial, another version is available which has a connector for an external aerial (73-6504).The shield uses the Quectel M10 quad-band GSM/GPRS modem which supports GSM850MHz, GSM900MHz, DCS1800MHz and PCS1900MHz. TCP/UDP and HTTP protocols are supported through a GPRS connection with a maximum transfer speed of 85.6kbits/s. The modem firmware is updateable via the serial link
