Adafruit PowerBoost 5V USB Boost 1000mA from 1.8V+ - Adafruit 1903, The Adafruit PowerBoost 500 is a great power supply for your next portable project. Starting from a 1.8V (or higher) battery, it will produce a steady 5.2V output giving you headroom for cable resistance, high inrush currents or maybe a protection diode. Its internal 2A boost converter will supply more than 500mA from sources down to 2V and up to 1000mA from a 3.7V LiPo or Li-ion battery. The TPS61090 chip at the heart of the PowerBoost comes with some useful extra features such as an enable pin which can turn the voltage output off, low battery indication, support for iPhone / iPod 500mA charging, and a greater than 90% conversion efficiency.
