Epipremnum aureum, or Devil’s Ivy, is an evergreen vine in its native Polynesia where it uses aerial roots to climb up to 20 metres with enormous leaves that can reach a metre across. Fortunately, as a houseplant it is much less vigorous. This Marble Queen variety has magnificent, glossy variegated green & white leaves which grow to 10cm (4in) long. The trailing stems will grow & grow unless you cut them back, making this an ideal plant for cascading from hanging baskets or down shelving. Also looks fantastic climbing up a support such as a moss pole. Remarkably tolerant of low light, Epipremnum will even retain its leaf colour in near darkness. Easy to care for, requiring just a little trimming to keep them in check & not too much water. Leafy tropical houseplants are a great help for improving our health & wellbeing as they filter harmful pollutants from the air inside our homes. Supplied as a potted plant in a 12cm pot, growing to a height & spread of 2m (6ft 6in). Please note that the decorative pot is not included. Epipremnum prefer a bright lightly shaded spot away from the direct sunlight which will burn the leaves. Water only when the plant is dry, preferably with tepid rainwater & allow the pot to drain well between waterings. Feed regularly between March & September, or when you see active growth.
