Quite often Triathlon framesets have smaller frame triangles & shorter head tubes in an effort to make the frames more aerodynamic. This results in having to pull the water bottle somewhat sideways in order to get it out of the bottle cage. Most current cages on the market make bottle extraction difficult. The engineers at XLAB™ have a cage that grips very well over bumpy surfaces but also has a special cut off angle of 30 degrees which testing has proved is the optimum angle in Tri framesets. It is super quick to get the bottle out of the cage. The cage features stiff bottom lip to support large bottles, stiff upper tab to retain bottles in the cage & slots in the back to provide vertical adjustment on the frame. Made with the same high temperature & pressure process as the successful Gorilla cage & in extra stiff carbon. The 6 arm design & graphics match the Gorilla cage so you can now have a consistent bottle cage design on your racing machine but with cages designed for each specific purpose. Use Gorilla Cage for rear hydration carriers. Material

- 36g About Xlab Xlab was formed due to a unique combination of recognizing new racing needs & an obsession for speed. aerospace designer craig turner entered the bicycle industry after quitting corporate america & wanting to follow his passion. he had a passion for speed. Saving been a senior design specialist for numerous military & commercial aircraft, & even rockets & racing yachts, he always wanted to make ‘vehicles’ go faster. being highly competitive, he did not want to get beaten on the hills by his training buddy, so he built super lightweight bikes under 13lbs in 1992. a feat not equaled in its day even by bike manufacturers. Still dissatisfied, he started the first mail order triathlon business in america. fifteen years later after selling over 10, 000 tri-bikes, designing bikes for large manufactures, setting numerous triathlon equipment trends & cycling 3, 300 miles across the us, he decided to sell the mail order business & concentrate his efforts full time on the aerodynamic design of bicycle gear. Innovating & trend setting have been roles in craig’s life. he also inspired candice to do a 500 mile bike ride at the age of 13 through the tough terrain of yellowstone & glacier national parks & the grueling icefield parkway.
