- your weight will be checked on the day. Anyone under 18 will need a signed letter of consent from a parent or guardian. You will be required to complete & sign a Declaration of Fitness to parachute before the training begins. The minimum age for sport parachuting is 16 years. If you are 40 or over, you must have written approval from your Doctor on the Declaration of Fitness to Parachute form before commencing. You will also need the declaration form if you have suffered from any of the following: previous fractures, severe joint strains, back strain & arthritis. Asthma, chronic bronchitis, live or kidney disease, rheumatic fever, pneumothorax, thyroid, adrenal or other glandular disorder. Chronic ear or sinus disease or any condition which requires the regular use of drugs. Anaemia or have recently donated blood. People over the age of 50 are not normally accepted for novice parachute training other than for tandem skydives where high ages may be acceptable. Exceptions to this rule are if the candidate has previous experience of is of a high standard of fitness. You will not be allowed to undertake parachute training if you have ever suffered from the following medical conditions, unless you & your doctor have obtained the prior approval of the Medical Advisor to the British Parachute Association (who may be contacted via the Declaration of Fitness form): Epilepsy, severe head injury, fits, disease of the brain or nervous system, recurrent blackouts or giddiness, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, recurrent weakness or dislocation of any limb, diabetes, mental illness, drug or alcohol addiction. These fantastic driving sessions last Approx. three & a half hours, & include driving a Chieftain tank, an Armoured Personnel Carrier & a Quad Bike! You will receive full driving tuition in the reassuring company of the friendly & experienced instructors, some of whom served in the Falklands & Gulf Wars, & who may have some interesting stories to tell! The ratio of guests to vehicles is set to keep all participants busy throughout the session. Itinerary: The Course

complimentary refreshments throughout the session, full safety briefing, driving the Chieftain, MBT 55 tons 700hp, driving the Abbot SPG (self-propelled field gun), driving the APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier), riding the Quad Bikes. You will receive a Certificate of Achievement. This course runs on Saturdays & some Friday dates. Location: Hampshire (South East). Key information: On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months. You are then free to contact the location directly to book a time for your experience. Please dress comfortably & warmly. Sturdy boots are advisable, as are waterproofs during wet weather. Should there be any problems (breakdown, starting late etc) there are spare vehicles available to help keep the session on schedule. Toilets are available on site, there is also an undercover area with picnic benches & a wood fire that is lit in cold or wet weather. With a huge grin on your face, you look through the periscope of your 17 tonne, FV432 armoured personnel carrier and spot the enemy. You shout out to your Load Master "Prepare to fire!" He gets the artillery ready and starts to load it into the breach of the 40mm cannon. A drop of sweat rolls down your cheek as you know that this shot could mean life or death for you and your crew. As you pull the trigger, you bellow to your crew members "Fire in the hole!" (You've always wanted to say that!). Your ammo goes hurtling towards the enemy, it's hit or miss now, there is no turning back, this is your last chance. Then............SPLAT! A huge pink paint explosion on the opposition's tank signifies a clean hit and victory for you and your team mates! Your 3 man crew start jumping for joy
(making sure they watch their heads because tanks aren't the tallest things in the world you know!). You're a hero, the lord of war, the supremo. You will go back home to a hero's welcome with the crowd chanting your name (or more than likely, just a drink in the local pub with a drunk stranger who is singing out your name and acts as if he knows you and you are best buddies). But hey, after all that excitement who wouldn't want a nice quiet drink in your local!? Phew......so after all of that suspense, let us explain to you the details of this superb action packed day out! specially modified cannons capable of firing 40mm paint rounds. Under the guidance of your on-board instructor you will get the opportunity to drive the tank, aim the cannon, load the breach and fire the air powered cannon. Cool!! Also to get you into your role as an artillery man (or woman!) you have to look the part, so you will be issued with radio headsets, Kevlar helmets, tank suits and gloves! Once you are able to successfully operate the tank, the hatches are closed and you are free to *engage in full on armoured warfare *against an opposing team using only your periscopes to guide you! Now that's our idea of fun!! When can you go?This experience is available on selected weekend and weekdays, from April to October. DurationYou will spend approximately 2 hours at the venue.
