Malus domestica ' Arthur Turner'
Raised in 1912, this is one of the best early cooking apples & a popular garden variety. Cooks to a well flavoured yellow puree requiring little added sugar. Also delicious baked. Heavy cropping. Resistant to scab. Suitable for the north & wet areas.
Supplied in a ‘Y’ shape with two main shoots that can be trained out in opposite directions at about 45-60cm (18-24in) above the ground. On receipt you will need to tie the arms down gradually (in several stages) to a horizontal supporting framework (not supplied).
