Product Description

Our RHS Crack Willow (Salix fragilis) cell grown plants are extracted from their cells prior to despatch & are wrapped in protective packaging to ensure the root plug stays moist. The plants come with their root systems intact, whereas bare root plants can lose the fine feeding roots & root hairs when they are lifted. This means that cell grown plants can become more quickly established than bare root. Another advantage of cell grown Crack Willow is that it can be planted into warm soils when roots are active, outside the dormant period. As long as the roots are kept moist, cell grown plants can be planted throughout the year.
