Senegalese superstar Youssou N' Dour & Tunisian-born pianist Moncef Genoud take their music on a journey beginning in New Orleans & ending in Goree in Senegal. Travelling, in reverse, the route taken by the millions of slaves exported from West Africa to the Americas, N' Dour uncovers a musical legacy, which has had an enormous influence on the music of today. Director Pierre-Yves Borgeaud's film climaxes with a final concert in Goree.
