Eighty-one-year-old Nat Moyer (Walter Matthau) is a fanciful philosopher & troublemaker. His companion Midge Carter (Ossie Davis) is the exact opposite, being realistic & down to earth. Together they deal with life's ups & downs, as they sit on a bench in New York's Central Park, taking on the threats of modern society (muggers, drug dealers & precocious children) with their own unique flair.
