Hidden Fortress - The Last Princess

Japanese pop singer Jun Matsumoto stars in this glossy remake of Akira Kurosawa's classic 1958 samurai film. Makabe Rokurota (Hiroshi Abe) has been assigned the task of escorting Princess Yukihime (Masami Nagasawa) - along with a stash of the royal family's gold bullion - to safety after the Akizuki area is taken over by a dangerous and power-hungry warlord. Along the way they meet Takezo (Matsumoto) and Shinpachi (Daisuke Miyagawa), escapees from forced labour in a gold mine, who agree to help them on their mission in return for some of the gold.
