Stylish Spanish horror about a maniac 'purifying' the unworthy in a dimly-lit former brothel. Antonio Frau has just served 25 years in prison for killing his girlfriend in the heat of a dispute and, as it quickly becomes plain, he's a rather poor advert for rehabilitation. While inside, Antonio has inherited The Pension Paraiso - a decrepit brothel - from a dead relative which he puts to good use as his own comfortable domicile - even buying a new freezer. On an Internet dating service, he meets and marries a lovely woman and is soon living the straight life, renovating the bordello to its former muted glory.
