A Japanese teenager looks after an old lady she used to visit as a child in this tender coming of age drama from director John Williams. After the break up of her parents' marriage, spoiled teenager Naomi (Maho) is sent out of the city to work at her aunt & uncle's country inn. Her aunt asks her to look after her ageing neighbor Mrs. Koide (Yoshie Minami), who Naomi used to play with as a child in the summer holidays. As the time passes, Naomi learns of Mrs Koide's hidden past life, finding parallels that transcend the generations.
