Queens Of The Tyne

On 2nd October 1907, the Tyne's passenger ship, the Mauretania, left the river on her delivery voyage to Liverpool. This book looks back at some of the many other passenger liners built on the Tyne between 1888 and 1973, including Carpathia, heroic rescuer of the Titanic survivors.
