Banished from the cave by the hulking tribe leader, Tonda (John Matuszak) after trying to win the heart of his mate Lana (Barbara Bach), he is forced to wander through the wilderness where he meets a string of unlikely allies including Lar (Dennis Quaid) and Tala (Shelley Long).
