Political satire directed by Nanni Moretti targeting Silvio Berlusconi's time as Italian Prime Minister. Bruno Bonomo (Silvio Orlando) plays a down-on-his-luck B-movie director with a crumbling marriage, who is thrown a lifeline to direct a film about the PM. Initially non-committal about the subject matter, Bonomo soon warms to his subject, imagining the film in his mind, with Berlusconi portrayed by a variety of actors including Moretti himself.
