There, they stand up to the local hard man, encourage young lovers, dance the local dance with pretty girls, are pursued romantically &, finally, end up saving the day by rescuing a sacred stone that is the village's heritage. Visually, it's a fruit bowl & the songs & comedy routines are classic Abbott & Costello. ' Who Done It?' (1942) is an Abbott & Costello romp in which they play Chick Larkin & Merv Milgrim, a pair of café workers with big dreams of writing radio whodunit programs. When they start making inroads in this field, however, things go awry. The station owner is murdered during a broadcast & they're suddenly in the frame. The first Lou & Bud film to not feature musical numbers but that only leaves more room for their comedy schtick.
