Assassin(s)

Satirical drama about an ageing assassin trying to pass on the baton to a younger generation. Mr Wagner (Michel Serrault) is one of the best in his profession, but now nearing 70, with his trigger finger shaky instead of itchy, he realises it's time to hang up his gun. Finding it hard to source his protege, Wagner stumbles across Max (Mathieu Kassovitz), a 25 year old welder and part-time crook. Spending long hours alone perfecting his video gaming techniques and watching violent TV, Max seems to be the ideal candidate. As Wagner shows his student the ropes, taking him through the many tricks of his deadly trade, he tries to instil in Max a sense of the ethics of the business. Max however has other ideas, which become evident when he sets out on his first hit.
