It transpires that the missing crates contained the remains of Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi) & Frankenstein's monster (Glenn Strange). The crates have now been diverted to the island hideaway of a crazed scientist who wishes to revive the ghouls. The inept duo head off to the island to avert disaster, but will the arrival of the Wolfman (Lon Chaney Jr) prove three ghouls is a crowd? Visually, it's a fruit bowl & the songs & comedy routines are classic Abbott & Costello. ' Who Done It?' (1942) is an Abbott & Costello romp in which they play Chick Larkin & Merv Milgrim, a pair of café workers with big dreams of writing radio whodunit programs. When they start making inroads in this field, however, things go awry. The station owner is murdered during a broadcast & they're suddenly in the frame. The first Lou & Bud film to not feature musical numbers but that only leaves more room for their comedy schtick.
