What is the Aircast StabilAir Wrist Orthosis? A lightweight, water resistant brace for use following a broken wrist or wrist surgery. When can I use it? Following a broken wrist or wrist surgery. Which size do I need? Measure around wrist at widest point. If you are between sizes, please choose the larger size. Small 12.7-16.5cm (5-6.5) Medium 15.9-19.7cm (6.25-7.75) How does it work? It has two ventilated shells that provide a lightweight alternative to a plaster cast for a broken wrist. The hard external shells have two aircells inside that can be inflated with a hand bulb (provided) to get a perfect custom fit and reduce wrist swelling. The inner surface of the StabilAir™ Wrist Orthosis is lined with moisture wicking material for breathability and unbeatable comfort. It can be
applied quickly and easily by fastening the two Velcro straps. The StabilAir™ Wrist Orthosis is much more comfortable than a plaster cast if you have a wrist fracture or have had wrist surgery. Its lighter, more comfortable, reduces wrist swelling and allows better patient hygiene.
