Care Olive Oil (Samaritan) One of the most common complaints seen by GPs is a blocked ear, usually caused by wax that has been pushed into the ear by a cotton bud. As well as the blocked sensation, waxy ears can reduce hearing, cause a ringing sound (tinnitus) &, occasionally, pain. Theres no need to clean your ears with a cotton bud. The ear has its own internal cleaning mechanism. Fats & oils in the ear canaltrapany particles & transport them out of the ear as wax. This fallsoutof the ear without us noticing. When we try to clean the ear, thiswaxgets pushed back & compacted. Theres also no need to dry earswith atowel, cottonbuds or tissue paper. Let them dry naturally or gentlyuse a hair-drieron low heat. Olive Oil can help to soften the wax andenable it tocome out. Ingredients 100% Pure Refined Olive Oil. Directions 1. Insertthe closed glass dropper bottle containing the oilinto a cup of warmwater for two minutes. Dry the container & insertone-drop of oilonto your hand to ensure that it is not too hot. If youfeel the oil istoo hot wait for it to cool prior to commencing. Thecorrecttemperature of the oil should be 37C. Alternatively, for the oiltoreach body temperature (37C) place the bottle in a pocket of your clothing currently being worn for 20 to 30 minutes.
