Intestinal worms, whether Roundworms or Tapeworms, can pose a potentially serious health threat to your dogs if left untreated, so regular worming (every 3 months) is a necessity. In order to survive & multiply within the internal environment of your dog, worms will feed on the blood & content of the gut, with some laying dormant for up to a year within the muscle tissue, depositing an unprecedented number of eggs every day. This can lead to unpleasant symptoms of sickness, loss of appetite, diarrhoea & excessive bottom cleaning, however, sometimes worms are not accompanied by any diagnostic symptoms. Not only are worms a troublesome affliction for your dog, but they can be potentially hazardous for you if transferred through touching & licking, or picked up on your shoes & brought into the home.
