Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant is recommended for the replacement of essential body water & salts in the treatment of acute diarrhoea. During diarrhoea the body loses water & salts & Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant replaces these whilst at the same time helping watery stools return to normal more rapidly. Early use is important to avoid dehydration, especially in the young & elderly. How to use Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant? Make up the contents of one sachet in 200ml (approx 7 fluid ounces) of drinking water. Use fresh drinking water for adults & children. Where drinking water is unavailable use freshly boiled & cooled water. The liquid should be made up immediately before use & any remaining liquid should not be used after 1 hour or 24 hours if liquid kept refrigerated. This remaining liquid should be discarded. Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant when made up in water is a milky coloured liquid. Dosage Adults (including elderly) & children: One sachet after each loose bowel motion (watery stool) up to a maximum of 5 sachets per day for 3-4 days. Infants aged 3 months-1 year should be given Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant ONLY under medical supervision. Dioralye Relief Blackcurrant should NOT be given to infants under 3 months. Infants under the age of 2 with diarrhoea should be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. If symptoms persist & no improvement is seen within 36 hours you must seek medical advice immediately. Dioralyte Relief Blackcurrant may be used in pregnancy & breast feeding but only on medical advice as it contains 2.5 vol % ethanol (alcohol) equivalent to 4ml beer or 1.7ml wine per dose. This should be taken into account in pregnant or breast feeding women, alcoholics, children & high risk groups such as people with liver disease or epilepsy. ...

You can also get diprobase cream in a 50gm tube which is more practical to carry around with you if at work or travelling. You can use diprobase cream on babies aged one month onwards. Emollients should be used frequently, even when the skin appears to be clear. This should help to reduce the number of eczema flares that you, or your child, has. If the skin is very dry, emollients should be applied every 2-3 hours. To ensure that you, or your child, is able to apply emollients frequently, you may wish to consider keeping separate supplies of emollients at work, or at school. Diprobase 50gm pack may be useful for this purpose. It is very important to keep using your emollients during a flare-up because this is when the skin needs the most moisture. During a flare-up, you should apply emollients very frequently & in generous amounts. Emollient treatments should be used instead of soap. This is because most normal soaps irritate atopic eczema.
