This is the UK Version of the Laguna Pressure Flo 5000 UVC Pond Filter. It is a sealed filter with an integrated UV-C Steriliser designed to provide mechanical & biological filtration in outdoor fresh water ornamental ponds with a temperature of 4-35 degrees Celcius. It can be used with or without fish. The purpose of the mechanical filtration is to trap & accumulate debris & waste material coming from the pond. The purpose of the biological filtration is to convert toxic by-products of fish metabolism & other organic waste into much less harmful substances. The purpose of UV-C filtration is to inhibit single-celled algae growth. These filters are designed to work in tandem with a solids handing pump for best results use a Laguna Max-Flo Circulating pump. This filter also contains a complete backwash system that cleans the surface of the mechanical filter in a few minutes this advantage increases the time between maintenance.
