In a relatively short Formula 1 racing career, Damon Hill achieved much, including the World Championship in 1996, & was a great ambassador for British sport. From his first full season in 1993, to his famous victory at the British Grand Prix in 1994. Through his battles with Michael Schumacher in 94/95, rising to the challenge of team mate Jacques Villeneuve in 96, in the uncompetitive Arrows Yamaha, but for an hydraulics failure, victory was assured at the Hungarian Grand Prix &, in 1998, we all remember his historic race at Spa to give the Jordan F1 team it’s first ever F1 victory.
