Yerba maté (Ilex paraguariensis) is a South American tree that is a member of the Holly family, & is widely cultivated across the continent to produce a leaf tea that has become a national drink in South America & is more popular than tea or coffee. Yerba maté is a potent source of antioxidants. One cup of Yerba maté may contain as much as 20mg of magnesium, as well as high levels of many other minerals, vitamin C, & B vitamins. Action: Antioxidant Ingredients: Pure powdered Yerba maté (Ilex paraguariensis) Contra indications: Yerba maté contains caffeine & should therefore be used with caution by individuals who are sensitive to caffeine or persons with high blood pressure.
