The Ribeira Porto soap is made by Castelbel in a deep yellow colour, significant as the emblematic tone of most of the buildings in Ribeira. The woody & citrus-fresh scent is reminiscent of the gentle breeze that blows over the River Douro in Porto. Beyond this, it also reveals a combination of mingled scents, again similar to the neighbourhood of Ribeira, along with the aroma of ageing Port wines in local cellars. Fragrance: The base is musky, with cedarwood reminding us of the typical Rabelo boats that once floated up the Douro river loaded with wine barrels. At the heart, there is Italian bergamot & bitter orange, with a touch of spice, fruity notes, Magnolia & Jasmine. To finish, we find a touch of labdanum- the rockrose that grows wild on the ridges of local slopes.
