The Style
Costume jewellery became globally popular during the 1950’s. Many of the designs were colourful & ornate matching perfectly to the fashion of the era. It was in the 50’s when Hollywood stars sponsorship, clothing & advertisements made wearing jewellery during the daytime popular. Influenced by the collaboration of Dior & Swarovski, outfits were completed with a dazzling bib necklace or brooches encrusted with colourful Aurora Borealis crystal settings. The trend continued with designers such as Trifari, Coro, Corocraft & Vendome producing quality costume jewellery using colourful crystal stone settings as are still used today.
