Product Description

The Style

The Egyptian Revival style of jewellery became popular in the 1920’s after the discovery of King Tutankhamen’s tomb, however many were designing to this theme long before this discovery. Pieces were exotic & colourful with many inspired by the ancient scarab beetle, this is particularly evident in designs created by Cartier & Locloche Freres. Egyptian style jewellery would remain evident in fashion right through the 20th century & is still apparent in many designs of the present day.
